What is Bluetooth?
![]()
Bluetooth wireless technology is a Short-range Communications Technology intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while maintaining high levels of security. The key features of Bluetooth technology are robustness, low power, and low cost.
Technically, Bluetooth is a specification for the use of low-power radio communications to wirelessly link phones, computers and other network devices over short distances. The name "Bluetooth" is borrowed from Harald Bluetooth, who was a king in Denmark more than 1,000 years ago (Computer people choose the strangest names!). Bluetooth technology was designed primarily to support simple wireless networking of personal consumer devices and peripherals, including Cell Phones, PDA's, and wireless headsets.

'I love this thing. Given that it is not the newest model, I expected the features to be lacking.
However, extensive comparison showed it to be lacking only in memory (and the SD slot and cheap 16GB
cards fixes that!)... Other reviews show that the Treo 650 is actually preferred by many to the newer
model. Delivery fast, very responsive support (box was beat up but product without doubt new and sealed.)
Did I mention I love this thing?'

'Did a lot of research before choosing the phone but found that this phone has more features than
the iphone and most blackberrys. It came fast and I just popped in my SIM Card and it worked right
away. Found a lot of great applications that work on the phone - PDF files open easy and emails come
quickly. I've used a Nokia for the past 10 years and its great that they made a PDA that works well too.'
